Year-round — resident big cats & migration passes twice a year
10 classic tented rooms with en-suite bathrooms
Seronera Airstrip, or road transfer via the central park gates
Untamed Katikati is set in the Seronera Valley, the biological heart of the Serengeti ecosystem. Thanks to permanent water sources and dense riverine forest, this is one of the very few places in the park with substantial resident wildlife populations — meaning fantastic game viewing whether or not the Great Migration herds are passing through.
Twice a year, in April–June and again in November, the migrating herds themselves stream through this same valley on their way north or south — giving Katikati guests a rare chance to combine big cat territory with front-row seats to the migration in transit.
Katikati’s 10 tented rooms channel the spirit of a classic 1950s safari camp with modern comforts layered in. Set beneath shady acacia trees, each tent offers privacy and a genuine sense of being immersed in the bush, just steps from the central mess and lounge tent.

Seronera Valley is famed for resident lion prides and leopards resting in riverine trees — the best big-cat viewing in the park.
Optional early-morning balloon flights over the central plains, followed by a bush champagne breakfast.
Swap stories with fellow travelers around the campfire under some of the darkest, starriest skies in Tanzania.
